Plain-language terms for using Conocle during its beta.
Conocle is provided as-is during the beta, free of charge. We work hard on reliability — every release is tested and notarized — but beta software can misbehave, and you use it at your own discretion. Your library lives in your own files precisely so a software problem cannot take your work with it; we still recommend backups, and the app includes one-click export.
What you save into Conocle is yours and stays on your machine. You are responsible for what you save and how you use it, including respecting the rights of the people who made the images you reference. Conocle stores links and attribution alongside saves to make honouring those rights easier.
Do not resell, rebrand, or redistribute the app as your own; do not use it to build a competing dataset by scraping; do not attempt to circumvent future licensing mechanisms.
When paid plans arrive, these terms will be replaced with fuller ones, and continuing to use paid features will mean accepting them. Nothing in a future change will lock you away from the library you built — export always works.
